Electronics for Artists 2 Sessions
Day: Nov 4th/5th Sat/Sun
Time: 10am-2pm
Cost: $150 (Tuition $100:, Materials $50)
Animate your art and make it more interactive! This first course in “chips” will allow the beginner to read a schematic and translate it into a circuit.. The course will also provide insight into how to find and spot doable circuits. You will also learn how to drive an LED, use a transistor, and read a meter and how to fabricate circuits using breadboard. To bring it all together we will create a simple project to apply the concepts of the course.

Remove & Replace an Engine Geo Metro – 5 or 6 Sessions
Day: Nov 7th-Dec 12th Tuesdays
Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm Cost: $100
In this class we will remove and replace a 3 cylinder engine in a 1994 Geo Metro. You will learn basic names of automotive tools and how to use them. We will also explain basic engine systems and how they work. Just show up in your grubbies and prepare to get dirty!

Basic Welding – 5 Sessions
Day: Thursdays, Nov 2nd-Dec 7th
Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm Cost: $100
Learn the basics of welding for art! We will cover basic safety and the basics of MIG welding process and equipment. You will learn some basic metal layout and measuring skills. And you will learn how to use a plasma cutter to cut metal. We will also cover basic grinding techniques. You will make a box out of metal applying all the skills you’ve learned in the class!

Performance Art Troupe – 5 Sessions
Day: Nov 2nd-Dec 7th Thursdays
Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm Cost: $100
Learn the art of performance art! In this class, we will teach you how to work in groups and collaborate with some basic props and ideas. We will also walk through the history of performance art. We will teach you how to communicate a message through performance and media. The class will culminate with impromptu street performances on the final nights of the class in Downtown Sacramento.

Fire Art Performance – 5 sessions
Day: Oct 30th-Dec 4th Mondays
Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm Cost: $100
Are you interested in performing arts and using fire to express yourself? Spark your creativity with this introductory course. In this class you will learn the basis of fire arts using practice poi. We will cover safety practices, basic spinning moves and basic performing methods.

Basic Drawing – 5 sessions
Day: Oct 30th-Dec 4th Mondays
Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm Cost: $100
Everyone can draw ... this means you! In this class you'll learn about shapes, shading, contour drawing, negative space and more. We will focus on the development of observational skills as students work with line, shape, value and form within a range of compositions. You will explore formal drawing techniques like shading, perspective, proportion, and composition. Please bring a drawing 9 x 12 sketchbook, pencils, charcoal, and eraser.
